Dussehra celebration

“India is known as a land of festivals and celebration, Dussehra is one of them which is unique in its perception and significance.”

Festivals are the period of celebration that brings peace and joy for everyone. They are an expressive way to celebrate glorious heritage, culture and traditions.

Celebrating festivals is an integral part of learning at Laxmi International School. Being a diverse country, through such celebrations, students not only learn the significance behind the festival, but they also learn to embrace other traditions and culture just like they do with their own. Celebrations bring the school community together, building a close bond between the children.

Keeping the festive spirit alive, the teachers also presented a story on Ramayana for the kids. The story conveyed the message of victory of Lord Rama over Ravana and reinforced the message that good always triumphs over evil.

The celebration was a part of our philosophy of ‘learning by doing’ Children learnt values of honesty, respect, humility and obedience, which are the core of our Indian epic, Ramayana.

All the children enthusiastically participated and enjoyed the celebration. Thus the celebration not only enriched their learning but also made it memorable for our little Gajerians which will be cherished for a long time.
