Global Wind Day

Wind blows on each one of us without any prejudices but it is up to us how we set our sails….

Global Wind Day or World Wind Day is a worldwide event that is held on June 15 around the world. Wind has its importance not only for natural reasons but also for economic reasons. Without wind, this world would be incomplete because it is the reason for many natural phenomena to occur.

On this Global Wind Day, let us take inspiration from wind which has the power to bring the change in this world.

To celebrate the importance of wind, LIS had organized a list of fun-filled competitions for the students on 11th June, 2022.

Grade 1 to 5 students were engaged in Kite Making Competition.Flying a kite is a great way to spend a windy day outside. Instead of going out and buying one, our innovative learners easily made one with a few basic materials. This was a hand- on experience for our tiny tots.

Grade 6 to 8 and 9 to 12 were engaged in Model Making and Aerodynamic Parachute Making competition respectively.

Wind mill making as a part of model making was perfect experiential learning for our young innovators of 6 to 8 students.

All the students actively participated and had fun-filled day.

On the occasion of Global Wind Day, let us learn from wind to never underestimate anything in life.
