Happy Children's Day

“Children are like buds in a garden and should be carefully and lovingly nurtured, as they are the future of our nation and the citizens of tomorrow.”

Jawaharlal Nehru

"We were all children once. We all share the desire for the wellbeing of our children, which has always been and will continue to be the most universally cherished aspiration of humankind." A day marking childhood- Children’s day celebrations focus on children and their enjoyment. The day is celebrated to pay tribute to the legendary freedom fighter, popularly known as ‘Chacha Nehru’.

Laxmi International School, Pre primary celebrated Children's Day on a virtual platform due to the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions. A video encapsulating a plethora of events- songs, skits, dance performances and fashion show by teachers was released for students on 23rd November, a week later to Children's Day, as Diwali holidays were going on. The video began with Principal greeting the children on the special day, a day to celebrate the bond between teachers and students. This was followed by a number of performances to delight, entertain and regale the students. The teachers enthusiastically performed a skit depicting transition in the life of teachers and students after the sudden announcement of lockdown and quickly adapting to online classes and taking online assessments. The skit with all its humour and witty dialogues received a lot of likes and appreciative comments from the students as well as their parents. Yet another program, which made the children, sit up and enjoy, was the beautifully choreographed fashion show by the teachers. Soon after watching the video, the students' messages poured in, thanking the teachers profusely for making Children's Day 2021 so special. The heartfelt appreciation, likes and comments by the students are a testimony to the grand success of the digital celebration of Children's Day.
