Diwali is the festival of lights which is celebrated in various regions across India. The name “Deepavali” literally means an “array of lights’. To make the students understand the importance of Diwali, LIS Pre primary had a weekly celebration from 23rd to 26th October on a virtual platform. Day-1 Teachers explained the importance of Diwali, the festival spiritually signifies the victory of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, good over evil and hope over despair.

Day- 2 Nursery kids made edible diyas using biscuits and chocolates. Junior and Senior KG kids made earthen diyas, color and decorated it.

Day- 3 Kids with the help of their parents distributed sweats/ clothes / toys to the less privileged kids. The smile on their faces will not only brighten up the day but will stay with them all through the year.

Both teachers and students enjoyed the Diwali celebrations wholeheartedly.
