Independence Day Celebration

Freedom in the mind,

Faith in the words...

Pride in our soul...

Let’s salute the Nation on this auspicious day.

Independence Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and respect at Laxmi International School, Pre primary. The school decorated with tricolor saffron, white and green balloons and flags welcomed the eyes of all to the function. The students and educators came in tri colored clothes.

The day started with special assembly followed by a presentation explaining on the significance of the day. Kids were involved in making theme decoration with color combinations of the national flag. Different corners were created with lots of activities planned for the kids. Teachers prepared theme-based dishes such as tricolor sandwiches, pasta, or salads, sweets and tri colored rice. Theme-based games were planned for the kids.

School’s annual Independence Day ceremony is incomplete without sports events. It is a regular relay race, but instead of using a baton, the kids passed the national flag. It is an excellent physical activity too. Children can learn about teamwork while also enjoying the spirit of I-Day.

We have created an I-Day quiz for children. We made questions based on freedom fighters, history, events during the freedom struggle, and important dates of remembrance. It increased the child’s interest and knowledge about India.

The Government of India on the occasion of 75th anniversary of India’s Independence is organizing, Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav which is one of the world’s largest programs. Further, Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is also being planned as a tribute to Indian National Flag. We engaged our school students in the form of drawing competition to pay tribute to our national flag.

Indeed, it was a day of joy, a day to love and respect our country and make it a better place for Indians to live and experience the freedom, peace and Unity in Diversity.
