'More stretching, less stressing' International Yoga Day

Yoga is the dance of every cell with the music of every breath that creates inner serenity and harmony. Laxmi International School Pre Primary celebrated International Yoga Day on June 21, 2021 to highlight the importance of Yoga and the pivotal role it plays in rejuvenating our mind and the body, leading to a healthier lifestyle.
Yoga not only provides physical and mental relaxation but also develops strength and resilience. The numerous benefits of Yoga make it a popular practice for people across the globe, especially in times of a pandemic when mental and physical health is under stress.
· Since its inception in the year 2015, June 21st is celebrated as The International Yoga Day all over the world. The idea was proposed by our Prime Minister,
Mr Narendra Modi. He said yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. The theme for International Yoga Day 2021 is 'Yoga for well-being’.
The International Yoga Day was celebrated by the students and teachers at Laxmi International School, pre primary on a virtual platform with great enthusiasm. Warm up exercises were taken and all the kids performed sitting and standing asanas, importance of these were explained simultaneously. Regular practice of yoga will surely help our students achieve a better life, physically, mentally and spiritually as well.
