To commemorate Dr CV Raman and his discoveries February 28 is observed as National Science Day. This day is observed to promote the importance and applications of science in our day-to-day lives. Dr CV Raman is an inspiration to those in the field of Science and Technology, and also to those who are not.

LIS observed National Science day 7 as National Science Week-Closing Ceremony on 28th February 2022. This day was celebrated in memory of the great scientist and Indian Physicist, Chandrashekhara Venkata Raman who discovered ‘Raman Effect’.

After the week full of events and competitions on February 28, 2022, Closing ceremony commenced with beautiful shloka by student choir group ,which was followed by lighting the lamp and further followed by biography presentation by Mr.Khemchand Viswakarma and Dialogue presentation by students of class XI Science. Song presentation on the theme science and inventions added the right spirit to the event. Winners of various competitions were felicitated by Principal Sir Mr.Pravin Pawar & Vice Principal Sir of Sr.Secondary Mr Joy Sardar. It was indeed a very knowledgeable day in which the main motive was to spread a message about the importance of Science and research.
