Rainbow Day

The tiny toddlers of Laxmi International School, Sarigam celebrated 'Rainbow Colour Day' as a part of their curriculum on 12th February 2022 on a virtual platform. It was indeed a fun-filled experience for the little ones while they were made to understand how the phenomena of nature work. The key objective behind conducting this activity was to deliver the concept of “Rainbow colours” to the children through engaging hands-on activities, which will help further enhance their fine motor skills & boost their ability of visual discrimination also.

As part of this activity, the pre-primary (Nursery, JR KG & SR KG) students presented a wonderful handmade and editable items that was very well-planned in order to bring out the seven colours of a rainbow, to depict kindergarten learning through seven senses and colours. The activity was successfully carried out by respective class teachers through demonstration of different colourful objects based on the rainbow theme. The idea behind this celebration was to develop an awareness of the colours in an interesting way that will ensure higher retention and learning outcomes. The curriculum was mainly planned to enable the children to experiment with a wide range of activities. Nursery kids had crafted rainbow using cloths. JR KG kids made rainbow by arranging toys and items available at home. SR KG kids made rainbow skewers using fruits.

It was indeed a fun-filled day for the little wonders as they were seen completely engaged in practical activities that will also enhance their mental development process.
