Rakhi Making Competition



Rakhi also called as Raksha Bandhan symbolises the true love and bond between brothers and sisters. Rakhi has deep significance and it has been used for the protection of the person who ties it on his hand from mythological times. This sacred thread is used by Lords Indra, Queen Karnavati, Kunti, Rabindranath Tagore and other famous personalities to create harmony in the world. In case of Lords and demons war time, Rakhi was used by Indrani.






August is considered as the month of festivals. This year, Rakhi festival is on 11th August. But LIS Pre primary celebrated it a week prior. Rakhi making competition was held on 30th July 2022 for the creative moms.

The moms enthusiastically participated in this activity. The mothers showcased their talent by preparing beautiful and creative hand-made eco friendly Rakhi using craft material and waste material. The participants were judged on the following criteria- Materials used, Presentation, neatness, Creativity and Innovation. Ms khusboo and Ms Mruga educators from Laxmi Global school were the judges for the day. The school authorities appreciated every active participant and the winners were felicitated with certificates and beautiful cards.
