Raksha Bandhan Celebration

"Brothers and sisters are as close as hands and feet."

The Pre-primary wing of Laxmi International School, Sarigam celebrated Raksha Bandhan with full zeal and endeavour that one associates with this auspicious festival.

The main objective behind celebrating ‘Raksha Bandhan’ was making the children aware about the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions. The tiny tots, in traditional attires enthusiastically participated in tying rakhi on the wrist of their brothers, social helpers, performed thali decoration, rakhi making and colouring activities. The story behind the celebration is narrated and dramatized by the tiny tots to their best abilities. The vibrant, colorful attires and innocent smiles brightened the ambience and lifted the spirit.

Junior KG kids make it a meaningful Rakhi by establishing a bond of love between them and the nature. We explained them the importance of trees and nature in our lives and establish a similarity between the brother and the sister bond and that between man and nature to make them responsible humans who take care of their environment and save Mother Nature by being more sensitive and sensible towards it.
