Teacher's Day 2021 - LIS

On 4th September 2021, a function was organised in the school auditorium to celebrate one of the dearest programme of school life, Teachers’ Day. This day is also celebrated to pay tribute to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, former President of the country and a visionary educator.

AT LIS this day was celebrated with a lot of zeal and enthusiasm. The whole event was meticulously planned by students of secondary section under the guidance of the event in-charge teachers.

The teachers were warmly welcomed at the entrance of the auditorium in a traditional way by greeting and applying tikka on their forehead by student volunteers.

The program began with lightening of lamp by all the dignitaries followed by a prayer song that was sung by students. Then the function continued with our students’ impressive performances which included dance, skit, poem and speech. Joyful games were also organized for teachers which added to the celebration.

The principal and the Vice principal motivated teachers with his words of wisdom. The ex educators of LIS were also invited to grace the special occasion and we’re felicitated with appreciation letters for their commendable efforts and contribution during their work tenure.

The programme was wrapped up with a vote of thanks and a cake cutting ceremony. Overall, it was an amazing celebration which will forever be traced in everyone’s memory throughout their life.
